Rest assured that your Lexus ES will deliver seamless performance during all your Macon excursions. The power and stability inherent in Lexus vehicles result from ongoing advancements, with technologies such as the continuously improving Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system playing a pivotal role.
What does “VSC” for in reference to Lexus cars?
It stands for Vehicle Stability Control. The purpose of this safety feature is to keep your car from slipping and sliding when driving on wet roads, muddy roads or snowy roads, the latter is unlikely in a southern city like Warner Robins or Forsyth. Wherever you go, the VSC and traction system that you have are designed to provide you with the maximum amount of traction possible. Because it gives you access to the maximum amount of power that the Lexus ES has to offer, turning off this system is not something that is advised to be done.
Where exactly is the button for the vehicle stability control on a Lexus ES 350?
In most cases, it will be located close to the steering wheel, possibly a button to the left of the steering wheel. It will likley have the appearance of an automobile with lines underneath the car.
Why would I want to turn the VSC button off on my Lexus when driving in Macon?
Sometimes in the south, you can get stuck in mud. Perhaps you went to a fair or an outdoor event that required you to park in a grassy or gravel area. If it was also raining, you would notice it is difficult to move. This is when you would want to turn off your VSC.
How do I turn off the VSC button on my Lexus? It is as easy as the following 2 steps:
-
First, make sure the car is in Park
-
Locate the VSC button and press and hold it until it turns off. This should be indicated on the dashboard.
That’s it. It is now off. It should come back on when you restart your car, but if it doesn’t make sure to turn it on as you don’t want to drive without it as it is an integral safety feature of the Lexus.
The "Check VSC" Light has come on in my Lexus. What should I do?
Your Lexus ES 350 or RX 350 or other model may deactivate the VSC system if it detects a problem with the car and determines that it cannot be repaired. If you do notice this, your Lexus will most likely display an error message that states "Check VSC" in the instrument cluster. Though it is not dire, if you are driving around Macon, but you should bring it into our service center near Warner Robins if it comes on again after you restart your car.
